Urban Farmhouse Press is an independent publisher of poetry, fiction, and science fiction books. We are based out of the Windsor, Ontario-Detroit, Michigan Area but simply seek to publish the best literature out there. We are staffed by professional writers and editors with combined decades worth of experience in the publishing industry. Please see individual categories for specific submissions details.  

In recognition of our home region and the fact that not every writer has completed a book length manuscript we bring to you our newest line, the Cities of the Straits Chapbook Series. Honoring both Windsor, Ontario, Canada and Detroit, Michigan in namesake, our chapbooks will highlight the best fiction and poetry submitted to us. We will select a chapbook in poetry and a chapbooks in fiction for publication in the spring of 2021.  

We are highly interested in Canadian writers. We strongly encourage Canadian writers to submit.

We are looking for a minimum of 20 pages and a maximum of 40 pages of poetry or fiction for this series. These books will have a 100 copy run in print format only. Authors will receive 5 copies and $50 for having their chapbook selected.

  The Crossroads Poetry Series is UFP's line of poetry collections. We are seeking book length collections of poems that are a minimum of 50 pages in length for publication in 2020/2021. We hope to publish at least 2 collections of work. 

Only one poem per page and single spaced. All selected manuscripts will be awarded a book contract (with the possibility of a second book contract), $250, 10 copies, 8% royalties, and a primary run of 500 copies. All submissions must be accompanied by submissions fee or they will not be read.

  Simultaneous submissions are welcome providing that you notify us if your manuscript is to be published elsewhere. We look forward to reading your work.
